The American Goat Federation is Seeking Nominations for Directors to Serve on the Board
The Board of the American Goat Federation is comprised of volunteers from all facets of the goat industry. Directors terms are 3 years, beginning January 1 of the year they are seated on the board. Applicants who submit nomination forms will be notified in October and nominations are reviewed with the objective of maintaining diversity on the Board and facilitating AGF's service to the goat industry.
The AGF Board meets face-to-face once a year in January in conjunction with the Annual AGF Producers Seminar and the American Sheep Industry Association Annual Conference. Conference call meetings are held every month or two months and attendance at a minimum number of meetings is required. In addition to serving on the Board, Directors represent the federation at the activities they attend during the year and gather information that can be used by the American Goat Federation to better serve the goat industry.
